A Meissen teabowl and a saucer, circa 1745

Each decorated with a landscape vignette depicting Watteauesque figures including from the commedia dell'arte, the reverse of the saucer and the sides and inside of the teabowl with cut flowers (Holzschnittblumen), different formal gilt borders to the rims, crossed swords marks in underglaze-blue, impressed 24 to teabowl, gilt marks E. (teabowl) and u. (saucer) (2)
