A Meissen teapot, circa 1745

The bullet-shaped body painted on each side with a landscape scene depicting elegant figures, enclosed by an elaborate brown-edged gilt foliate scrollwork and trellis cartouche, further painted with a flower sprig and scattered insects, gilt faceted spout, the handle with gilt foliate scrollwork, 8.2cm high, crossed swords mark in underglaze-blue, gilt star (spout with metal repair, the cover a metal replacement) (2)
