A Meissen turquoise-ground waste bowl, circa 1745

Reserved with two large gilt-edged quatrelobe cartouches painted with landscape and Kauffahrtei scenes, the inside-edge of the rim with an elaborate gilt scrollwork band, the inside with a similar Kauffahrtei scene within a quatrelobe gilt scrollwork cartouche filled with Böttger lustre, 17cm diam., crossed swords mark in underglaze-blue, gilt numeral 78., impressed 20 (some crazing to the glaze, gilt border to footrim regilt)
