A large Meissen charger, circa 1730-35
Painted in Kakiemon style with the 'Three Friends of Winter'- prunus, pine and bamboo - issuing from banded hedges, a bird perched on one branch and another in flight, the brown-edged rim with scattered flower sprigs and wheatsheaves, 42.4cm diam., crossed swords mark in underglaze-blue (repaired crack, two small haircracks and several repaired chips to rim)
