A rare silver-gilt-mounted Meissen coffee pot and cover, circa 1723-25
Finely painted in the manner of P.E. Schindler with a continuous chinoiserie scene depicting figures engaged in various pursuits, flanked by flowers, birds and insects, the cover painted with indianische Blumen, gilt line border below rim, the silver-gilt mounts by Elias Adam, Augsburg, 1735-36, the footrim mount chased with foliate scrollwork and trellis panels, 20.5cm high (finial restuck, tiny chips to spout) (2)
