A Japanese black lacquer suit of armour with

late Edo period
laced in blue, comprising a six plate kabuto covered with yak hair, fitted with a metal ridge running along the crown and fitted with a maedate with glass eyes and a pair of gilded horns, the black lacquered cuirass laced in kebiki style in blue,the sleeves Nio gote style with chain mail and splints on the forearms, the Kawara haidate similarly threaded, together with original shino, one armour box decorated with gilded family crests and stand.
