Edward Smith, Birmingham 1850
shaped rectangular, with foliate scrollwork enclosing a presentation inscription to the cartouche on the lid and matching engraving with an applied moulded wire to the base, traces of gilding to the interior, the lid engraved 'Presented / to / Mr Joseph Burgess / by the employees of / Messres Burgess & Darnell / as a mark of ????? from that firm / Aug 1st 1870', height 2.25cm, length 9cm, depth 6cm, weight 172gms.

Buyer's Premium Rates
23% on the Hammer Price
A 3rd party bidding platform fee of 4% of the Hammer Price for Buyers using the following bidding platforms will be added to the invoices of successful Buyers for auctions starting on or after 6th July 2024 – Invaluable; Live Auctioneers; The Saleroom; Lot-tissimo.
GST at the current rate of 10% will be added to the Buyer's Premium and charges.
