A small vinaigrette

by Thomas Bartleet, Birmingham 1819
rectangular form with small thumb pieces, floral motif engraved to the lid, the base with a wavy border enclosing a leaf motif and the engraving "MF to EB" and "1820", gilt interior with foliate floral pierced grill, height 0.5cm, length 2cm, depth 1.5cm, weight 4gmstogether with a patch box by Samuel Pemberton, Birmingham 1791, rectangular form with cut corners, lightly engraved border with an engraved vacant shield cartouche to lid being hinged across the width toward one end, plain base and a simple engraved band around the sides, height 1cm, length 3.5cm, depth 2.25cm, weight 10gms.
