Rare Kammer & Rienhardt 107 'Carl' bisque head character doll
The beautiful elongated pale bisque head depicting an older boy, with light blue painted eyes, closed mouth with full lips, and slightly petulant expression, short auburn mohair wig and on a fully jointed wood and composition body, wearing period country clothing of blue shirt, tweed jacket with leather patches and breeches, socks and leather laced boots, together with an extra grey tweed shooting suit with cap, straw boater, cloth sun hat, two knitted scarfs, leather shoes, gloves, carved wooden gun and leather bag.
This doll was designed by the noted Berlin sculptor, Lewin-Funcke for the firms art character series, and is one of the rarest of the K*R series, (a faint hairline to back of head), Incised K*R 107, 55), 56cm (22in) tall.
