A Large Italian Corseca Also Known As A Furloni Or Spetum
Early 16th Century

With broad tapering double-edged blade of flattened diamond section clipped-in at the base and with large up-curved single-edged side-wings at the base, one stamped on each side with a circular maker's mark, and made in one with the faceted socket of tapering circular section with tapering strap on both sides, on old wooden staff of octagonal section becoming circular (light surface pitting)
