With long slender tapering spike of stiff diamond section flattened and with a pair of sharply-pointed side-lugs at the base above a pair of crescent-shaped side-wings, the latter pounced on each side with foliage involving two male figures in contemporary costume, each within a roundel, faceted socket of tapering circular section, and side-straps incised with indistinct armoury numbers, on old wooden staff of circular section
