A Rare Italian Friuli
Mid-Late 16th Century

With long double-edged leaf-shaped blade of flattened diamond section sharply-pointed at the tip, flanked at the base by two curved double-edged blades each with claw-like projection of diamond section, tapering faceted socket, and side-straps, on wooden staff of circular section cut with narrow longitudinal flutes (some light pitting)
