A 'Langue De Boeuf'
16th/17th Century

With broad double-edged blade of flattened diamond section drawn-out to a sharply-tapering blade at the top, and struck twice with what appears to be a mark on one side towards the bottom, socket of tapering circular section, and shortened side-straps, on later wooden staff of circular section (some pitting)
