A Pair Of Turkish Flintlock Blunderbuss-Pistols
19th Century

With two-stage barrels each chiselled with a diamond-shaped panel at the flared muzzle and with foliate decoration in low relief at the breech, engraved tangs, flat locks (one action defective) each engraved with foliage against a gilt ground (gilding worn), cocks en suite, carved full stocks each inlaid with white-metal wire scrollwork and pellets on the butt, shaped iron side-plates engraved with trelliswork, silver spurred pommels each cast and chased with stylised trophies and foliage, iron trigger-guards chiselled with foliage, and no provision for ramrods (2)
