With slender curved single-edged blade tapering towards the point, hilt comprising quillon-block with pointed langets and recurved quillons cast and chased on each side with flowering foliage involving a riband against a matted ground (knuckle-chain missing), plain grip-strap, and rounded rhinoceros horn grip-scales, the pommel pierced for a sword-knot, in original wooden scabbard covered in burgundy velvet (plush worn-off) with deep locket, chape and suspension mounts embossed and chased in relief with trophies of arms and foliage against matted grounds, two rings for suspension, and retaining most of its original gilding
