With watered curved single-edged blade (some pitting) with gold-damascened decoration along half its length on one side partly in imitation of Arabic inscriptions (minor losses), and on the other with a circular cartouche en suite, hilt comprising quillon-block inlaid in gold on both sides with a design of symmetrical arabesques and with pointed langets and tapering quillons, the latter each with button terminal, and brass grip with bevelled horn grip-scales, the pommel pierced for a sword-knot
