A Caucasian Shasqua, Two French Brass-Hilted Military Swords, And An American WWI Period Trench Knife
19th Century And Later

The first with bright slightly curved single-edged blade fullered along the back over most of its length towards the point on each side, the back of the forte on each side etched with Arabic calligraphy, and hilt with characteristically shaped dark horn grip-scales, in original leather scabbard with engraved white-metal locket, chape and suspension mounts, the last each with suspension ring; the second each with slightly curved fullered blade double-edged towards the point and etched respectively with the place and date of manufacture along the back of the blade at the forte, regulation brass hilts each with side-guard cast, pierced and chased with foliage, ovoidal pommel-caps cast with branches of laurel, and ribbed dark horn grips bound with twisted brass wire, in original plated scabbards with rings for suspension; the last with tapering blade of triangular section (tip missing), knuckle-guard embossed with pyramidal projections and stamped 'U.S.L.F & C' (for Landers, Frary & Clark), and wooden grip (chipped) indented for the fingers (4)
