Two Silver-Mounted Arab Jambiyas
19th Century

Each with broad curved double-edged blade (some surface rust) with medial ridge on each side, and rounded waisted hilt entirely covered with silver mounted in filigree, one over a piece of rhinoceros horn, in original cloth-covered wooden scabbards each with silver locket and chape faced in filigree en suite with the hilt, and leather suspension mounts each with two rings for suspension and five rings held on by twisted silver wire, one with original leather belt and silver buckle, the other with textile-covered belt with silver buckle (some wear) (2)
