An English Bullet Crossbow
Signed R. Jackson, Edgeware Rd., Mid-19th Century

With slender iron bow, built-in gaffle retained by a sprung catch at the rear, folding back-sight with stamped signature, folding fore-sight (retaining screw replaced) acting against a spring on one side, button finial, flat-sided tiller and butt with bevelled edges, the butt stamped with initials 'R.B.' four times, and iron mounts comprising scrolled side-plate and butt-plate (iron parts with some pitting)
