A Brass-Mounted Copper Three-Way Powder-Flask For Percussion Pistols, And A Pair Of 100-Bore Percussion Box-Lock Pistols
The First By J. Dixon & Sons, Sheffield, 19th Century, The Second By Tatham, Henry 2, London, Mid-19th Century

The first with lacquered body of tapering oval section, lacquered brass mounts, the top with nozzle and circular pivoting cover over the ball compartment cast with the maker's details centred on a flower-head, the base with pivoting cover over the cap compartment, and retaining most of its original lacquered finish; the second each with turn-off barrel engraved with a band of foliage around the muzzle and with a mount for a lever beneath (both missing), foliate engraved rounded actions (defective) each signed on one side beneath the nipple, folding triggers, and chequered figured rounded butt with vacant silver escutcheon (the other butt missing, worn overall), London proof marks (3)
