A Noon-Day Gun

Comprising a brass cannon barrel and brass-mounted adjustable magnifying glass fixed to a circular white marble base, the first of tapering multi-stage form with ring moulding behind the muzzle and punched foliate decoration over the first and second reinforce, plain trunnions and knob-shaped cascabel, and mounted on two tapering faceted beds, the last incised with hour scale in Arabic numerals numbered from '6' to '12' to '6' above the latitude marked '45.45', '450'
