A Flintlock Trap Gun
Early 19th Century

With iron barrel flared at the muzzle and entirely enclosed in a wooden housing secured by two broad iron bands, border engraved rounded lock (top jaw and metal cover missing, jaw screw incomplete), brass side-plates, trip-wire mechanism with pivoting safety-catch, and adjustable iron swivel peg-mount (iron parts with some surface rust)
