With tapering double-edge blade with traces of etched inscriptions between 'X' marks within the fuller on both sides of the forte, hilt comprising plain cup-guard with turned line engraved rim, short straight quillons of circular section with faceted button terminals, knuckle-guard with central faceted moulding and screwed to the faceted globular pommel, the latter with button finial, and later swelling ribbed wooden grip between brass ferrules (some pitting overall)
