A Cup-Hilt Rapier In Spanish Late 17th Century Style
19th Century

With tapering double-edged blade (repaired) of flattened hexagonal section stamped 'C.E.I', 'I.Q.V.S' and 'T.P.V' between cross marks within the central fuller on both sides of the forte, large fluted cup-guard with scalloped edge, slender quillons of circular section with fluted spherical tips, downcurved arms, fluted globular pommel with button, and grip bound with twisted iron wire (some light pitting overall)
