A Hoshi-Bachi Kabuto
Unsigned, Joshu School, Momoyama Period

The iron bowl of sixty-two plates each with numerous standing rivets totaling nearly two thousand in all and lightly lacquered black typical of the Joshu school, four-stage shakudo tehan-kanamono, down-turned mabisashi, five-lame lacquered iron hineno-shikiro with small fukigayeshi, complete with a two piece maedate consisting of a carved wood oni with large gold lacquered ears and up-turned horns, and a metal circle and ken (lining missing)
