With tapering double-edged blade of flattened hexagonal section (tip reduced) stamped with a series of letters within the shallow fuller on each side of the forte, iron hilt with notched arched double quillons, two concentric oval side-rings decorated with raised chiselled acanthus panels, characteristic scallop-shaped shell, faceted globular pommel with engraved groove and tall integral button, and wooden grip bound with plaited iron wire between Turk's heads (some light pitting)
