A North European Cavalry Sword
Mid-17th Century

With tapering double-edged blade incised with running wolf mark and numbered '1703' between cross marks within the fuller on each side of the forte, iron hilt of similar form to the last and with downbent globular rear quillon, side-rings (plates missing), inner thumb-ring, and knuckle-guard and hand-guard each flattened at the top and secured to the globular pommel (one ferrule broken)
