In excavated condition, with sharply tapering slightly hollow ground blade of stiff diamond section, recessed rectangular ricasso of flattened hexagonal section, rootwood grip of tapering circular section with characteristic lobes at the base separated from the blade by a copper washer, and domed silver pommel-cap
