An Unusual Mediterranean Dagger
Probably Early 18th Century

With single-edged blade drawn-out to form a scroll at the forte, struck with a mark on one side and of stiff diamond section over half its length to the point, the last with rectangular piercings, faceted octagonal mouldings beneath the grip, spirally twist dark horn grip of tapering circular section with brass collar (incomplete) at the base, and shaped brass pommel-cap
