A Scottish Regimental Dirk Of The 93rd Sutherland Highlanders

With fullered single-edged blade notched along the back edge over half its length and brightly etched against a dull grey ground along one side with maker's details, a trophy of arms, regimental badge, and thistles in an urn emerging from foliage, and along the other with thistles and foliage framing the battle honours 'Alma Balaklava Sebastopol', swelling grip carved with basketweave and set with silver studs, silver basal mount cast and chased with thistles, and carved pommel (repaired) with silver mount set with a foiled piece of faceted glass in imitation of a cairngorm, in later black leather scabbard retaining its original border engraved silver locket with applied regimental number between thistles on the outside, a suspension bar on the inside
