RARE, no copy recorded in ABPC as having sold in the past thirty years. The English artist William Wyld (1806-1886), a protegé and friend of Horace Vernet, and Lessore (1805-1876), a pupil of Ingres, made their tour of Algeria in 1833, the year after Delacroix's first visit.
