COMPLETE SET of Jar-Ptitsa, or 'The Firebird', "perhaps the most famous of post-revolutionary art journals, whose contributors threw new light on the development of Russian art at the beginning of the tweniteth century" (Fekula). Compiled by Russian émigrés in Berlin (hence the appearance of some German text) notable contributors included Bakst, Diaghilev, Benois, Grigor'ev, Goncharova, Bilibin, Somov, Makovskii, Shukaev, Lukomskii, and all the members of Mir Iskusstva (World of Art group).
