Footnotes

"This is the first attempt to bring book production into line with modern requirements... the illustrations are printed on transparent 'Diophane' whcih gives a luminosity which is almost stereoscopic. The binding is on the 'Neo-Nevett Tape Slot" principle... the jacket... has become an integral part of the binding. The covers are made of translucent 'Rhodoid'... the whole cover is stainless and washable".
