RARE. Only one copy of the 1720 edition of Poems is recorded on ABPC in the past thirty years, a fifth issue. This copy belonged to the bibliographer Andrew Gibson, who discusses this copy ("The Gibson Copy") in New Light on Allan Ramsay, 1927. A copy of this work is included with the lot. See illustration on preceding page.
