A magnificent survey of Kew, published at the expense of King George III. The plans and views include the palace designed by William Kent for Frederick, Prince of Wales (demolished in 1802), and the marvellous series of garden buildings and temples designed by Chambers between 1757 and 1762. Amongst these are the celebrated pagoda and other buildings based on gothic and Islamic styles.
