Historia naturae, maxime peregrinae, libris XVI. distincta, FIRST AND ONLY EDITION, title printed in red and black with engraved vignette, 69 woodcut zoological and botanical illustrations in the text by Christoffel Jehger (one crudely hand-coloured), full-page woodcut device on final leaf, title soiled, traces of worming to opening 5 leaves (touching some letters) and margin of approximately 20 leaves, early ownership inscription of Grimbergen Abbey, contemporary blindstamped calf over wooden boards, covers with gilt-stamped arms and upper cover lettered "Ex dono F.
