Footnotes

A remarkable collection containing approximately 40 sixteenth century items, many of which cannot be matched with certainty to WorldCat. Several volumes have the Roman booklabel of Peter Paul Lacroix, dated 1841, and the later bookplate of Hartwell de La Garde Grissell (1839-1907), a Newman Society founder, catholic convert and papal chamberlain.
