Arcangelo Corelli"), without the epistle by Clement XI, some oxidisation to endpapers, contemporary calf-backed marbled boards, calligraphic paper title labels on upper covers, rubbed [RISM C3844], folio, Amsterdam, Estienne Roger, [1714]

RARE FIRST PRINTING OF CORELLI'S CELEBRATED 'CONCERTI GROSSI': A FINE SET. Published posthumously (although parts were written over a period of years), Corelli's Opus 6 was hugely influential, popularising the concerto grosso form throughout Europe and paving the way for Vivaldi, Handel and Bach. Complete sets are very rare, especially so in thsi condition.
