ARNOLD (MATTHEW)

Three autograph letters signed, two to "My dear Mitchell", apologising over a planned party ("...if I had known earlier that you could not come I would have fixed another day – for the party was originally intended for you, and the solemnly agreed day was abandoned by me...") and in the second exclaiming: "The Ship, Greenwich. Beautiful Expression! Yes, my dear Mitchell, I will come"; the third letter to Edward Pinches, requesting "two gallery tickets for Mrs. Arnold and my daughter", 4 pages, the first two laid onto an album leaf, 8vo, Privy Council Office, Chester Square and Cobham, the first two 1860 and 1863
