A Briefe Survay and Censure of Mr Cozens, His Couzening Devotions. Proving Both the Forme and Matter of Mr Cozens his Booke of Private Devotions, or the Houres of Pray, Lately Published, first edition, issue with catchword "Spirit" on C3r, 2 catchwords and one headline shaved, later calf gilt, rebacked [STC 20455a], small 4to, Printed [by Thomas Cotes], 1628

Footnotes

Prynne's first attack on the Arminian doctrine of free will as opposed to Calvinistic predestination, written in response of John Cosin's Collection of Private Devotions (1627) which he claimed "was riddled with popery, and condemned in particular its endorsement of prayers for the dead... the proliferation of martyrs and saints' days, and the emphasis placed on the power of priestly absolution" (ODNB).
