Lobo's important account of his mission to Ethiopia between 1625 and 1633. Lobo, and nine other Jesuits, travelled widely throughout Ethiopia, visiting Gojam and Gamot to the south of Lake Tana, and the source of the Blue Nile. Also included are sections relating to Prester John, and "Of the famous unicorne, where he is bred, and how shap'd". The work was translated into English by Peter Wyche at the request of the Royal Society.
