Autograph letter signed ("AC Swinburne"), to his cousin Maria ("Dear Cousin Maria"), cooing to Maria: "What a baby! And what a present! I never saw quite so heavenly a photograph... It was & is kind of you to remember your old baby-worshipping cousin. What glorious eyes my 'tiny' and adorable 'cousin' has, & what a lovely mouth & chin! How kind as well as wise is his expression! What he would probably, if he could speak, have the arrogance to call his big (!) toe – if not his great toe – makes me yearn to kiss it – with more than a Catholic's devotion for the Pope's", 3 pages, 8vo, The Pines, 14 April 1900
