8A pair of bronze okimono of carp
By Joho, Meiji/Taisho Period
Both naturalistically modelled, balanced on their fins, their eyes variously inlaid in shakudo and gold, both with a dark-brown patination, one signed Joho saku; with tomobako titled and signed by the artist Joho saku with seal. The larger carp 15cm x 26.7cm (6in x 10½in), the smaller carp 6.7cm x 21.5cm (2 5/8in x 8½in). (3).
