A large late 20th century bone and baleen Prisoner of War style model of a First Rate ship,

the hull of pinned bone planks with baleen wales. The sides pierced with ports for three decks of turned brass cannon. Carved and detailed warrior figurehead, beakhead and trailboards, stern and quarter galleries. The decks of laid bone planks with detailed capstan, belfry, companionway and skylights. Features include turned brass cannon on bone carriages and ship's boats slung between the yards. bone spars with accurate running and standing rigging. Mounted on turned posts onto a bone and parquetry railed baseboard. 38x13x29.5ins. (96.5x33x75cm)
