A bronze wall plaque 'Professor John Young'
The professor modelled in relief with head turned to dexter with inscription 'Professor John Young MD 1835 -1902' 50cm wide, 4cm deep, 66cm high (19.5in wide, 1.5in deep, 25.5in high)

Footnotes

Exhibited at the Royal Glasgow Institute in 1905 item number 868,
John Young was born in Edinburgh in 1835, He was educated at the High School and at the University graduating as a doctor of medicine. He taught both zoology and geology for nearly thirty-five years.
