ABERDEEN - MANUSCRIPT

"Valuation Book of the Shire of Aberdeen, as it was valued in the year 1674, and as it is now possessed by the Severall Heretors Anno 1720", with the note beneath: "Valuators appointed by a Commission of the Lords of the Privy council dated August 5th 1673, for Valuating the Rent of the Shire of Aberdeen, who Mett and Signed their Report therof at Aberdeen October 26th 1674"; the volume listing each presbytery's values as of 1678 on the left-hand page and of 1720 on the right; upper cover inscribed "Valuation Book of the County of Aberdeen" with the slightly later ownership inscription "Blackford", nearly 100 pages, some dust-staining and other signs of use, but overall in good sound condition, original vellum wallet-style wrappers, 8vo, 1720
