A Victorian silver stationery casket

Maker's mark unclear, Glasgow 1878, retailed by W.W. Logan, Glasgow
The arched lid decorated with birds among foliage with central scalloped cartouche engraved with cyphered initials and with crest and motto beneath, the body also decorated with birds among foliage with roundels depicting raised scenes from the Arts and Industries, the interior gilded, with dividing plates, height 20cm, length 24cm, weight 79oz.

Footnotes

The crest and motto is that of Stewart; Nobilis Ira.
