The 1862 Glasgow Bowlers cup

Probably William Clarke Shaw, Glasgow 1861
On domed circular foot, the ovoid form jug body engraved with scrolling and geometric sinuous design punctuated with four cartouche, including the Glasgow city crest, the acanthus leaf capped scroll handle with ivory insulators, the finial formed as a flower head, height 36.5cm, weight 28.7oz.
