The first with tapering double-edged blade incised 'Inti Domini' between cross marks within the fuller on both sides of the forte, brass hilt comprising side-guard with moulded border and swept-up as two bars joining the knuckle-guard, inner thumb-ring with bar also joining the knuckle-guard (quillon missing), globular pommel with button, and spirally-grooved fishskin-covered grip (wire binding missing); the second with fullered blade (some wear and pitting) retaining some of its etched and gilt decoration on both sides of the forte, regulation brass hilt cast with foliage and with folding inner shell-guard, and silver grip in imitation of wire binding (2)
