With bright fullered blade (some rust patination and staining overall) notched and fullered along the back, double-edged towards the point of flattened diamond section, and stamped with maker's details on one side at the forte, swelling grip carved with basketweave and set with silver studs, silver basal mount engraved with thistles, and plain slightly domed pommel-cap, in original black leather scabbard (some wear) with border engraved silver locket and mounts (chape replaced) for by-knife and fork with applied entwined Scottish thistles, the by-knife and fork en suite with the dirk
